Act As You Did When You Were Happy

Looking back is a fine thing to do as long as you are conscious that you are looking back and that your life is now. If all you are doing is wishing to retrieve something of the past, then your time is better spent focusing on the present. But if you frequently find yourself regretting the loss of something, do what you can to bring it into your life today in some form. Maybe you can't play major league baseball, but you can coach little league. Maybe you can't get that old lover back, but you can do the things that were fun with that person, and you can act as you did when you were happy with that person. Be today the person you were in that happy time, and all will be well.
