Be Conscious of the Lesson Plan

You can stand up for yourself. State your desires simply and calmly. You have no control over the other person's response. If the response is more often than not displeasing to you, it might be time to end the relationship. But you won't get what you want unless you ask for it. You teach people how to treat you.
