Be Loving and Kind
Be loving and kind always. Begin by being loving and kind to yourself. Under stress, get a sense of how old you feel. Maybe you're feeling like a scared 3-year-old. Allow your adult self to give that beautiful little three-year-old exactly what he needs: calm, safety, freedom to explore, reasonable limits. Maybe you are feeling like a rebellious teenager. Allow that teenager to express all the complicated feelings she is having. Don't deny or minimize any of them. Then help her sort out the best move to make. You can always call on your centered adult self to be charge in any situation.
